Matthew 6.25-33 for Sunday, November 25, 2012

Photo by my friend, Ann Beaty, taken at the Lebh Shomea House of Prayer at the La Parra Ranch located in Wild Horse Desert, Texas. My grandfather, Jesse Thornham, grew up on the La Parra. Thanks for sharing that beauty, Ann!

Music by Allen Thibeaux, Happy Cascade (http://soundcloud.com/spuddley).

Reading, as it were, puts the solid food into our mouths, meditation chews it and breaks it down, prayer obtains the flavor of it and contemplation is the very sweetness which makes us glad and refreshes us. ~ Guigo the Second (quoted in Eugene Peterson’s book, Eat This Book, p. 91).

May your hearing, meditating, praying and contemplating with the Scripture be rich with love and flavor and sweetness today!

Happy Thanksgiving too.
