Mark 13.1-8 for Sunday, November 18

Jesus Christ…
Your sorrow now has passed.
Your enemies have failed.
You are a definitive smile for humankind.
~ Jesuit Father Luis Espinal

Friend~
May your time praying the Scripture be filled with the glow of the “definitive smile for humankind.” What a nice name for Christ, huh?
Deep Peace Always,
Todd

  1. Hi Todd

Thanks for keeping doing this. Just wondering – you used to have a website with your old recordings. Are these still available by any chance?

    1. Hi Julie-
Thank you for your note. I truly enjoy hearing from my listeners. I still have copies of all 4 years of lectio podcasts offline, but when I moved to WordPress I started the website from scratch. I am considering putting together some collections to offer. Is there a particular one I could try to find for you? Tell me more about you. How do you practice Lectio with the podcast and what have you found helpful about it?
      Deep Peace,
      Todd

  2. Hi Todd
Thanks for replying. I wasn’t looking for a particular one, just more to listen to. I especially listen when driving long distances but also often listen to the podcasts during breakfast. I’ve found most aspects of the lectio podcasts helpful – the initial music helps me slow my thoughts down and tune in, really like the different exerpts you read from books, the centering/mindful comments, and I find bits of scripture leap out much more when it’s read slowly and contemplatively and having it read a few times helps reinforce it. So really appreciate the effort you’re putting in continuing this.
    Julie
