Job 1.1, 2.1-10 for Sunday, October 7, 2012

Teach me how to pray
Teach me how to live
Make them one and the same
To the glory of thy name
Please…
(from the song, Teach Me How To Pray by Chris Hughes)

Greetings!
I hope our meditation and prayer time today will be a time of rest with God for you. We begin with some reflections from Richard Rohr on the “language of descent” (from Rohr’s book, Everything Belongs). And then, we walk together through the Welcoming Prayer (see more at http://www.contemplativeoutreach.org), a fine practice for every day. Today’s artwork is entitled, Where the Question is Born, is by Jan Richardson (http://www.janrichardsonimages.com). May your prayer and your living be one!
In Christ’s Grip,
TODD
