James 5.13-20 for Sunday, September 30, 2012
“God is seeking fellow sufferers who will pause longer than others and look more deeply than others…” says E. Glenn Hinson. May meditating and praying with the Scripture help you and me to pause longer and look more deeply. Honestly, this week’s text is finding discord in my heart — I find myself pushing against it — as I have been praying for the healing of a dear friend who is suffering so much, physically and emotionally right now, and no healing seems to be coming. Yet, I choose to remain in hope that’s bigger than me and I choose to look more deeply and longer…Peace Deep Down, Todd
Thank you. Keep praying. We might not be receiving the answers we want when we want them and how we want them, but I still have confidence that our prayers are being heard. Much love and thanks for you.
