The Pharisee-Herodian followers asked Jesus to make an either-or, no-win choice. isn’t our culture constantly asking of us the same: whose side are you on?
Jesus offers a third way— which included giving God what is God’s. What would that have looked like for these questioners of Jesus to give God what is God’s? Would they have dropped everything, given their money to the poor (or Caesar) and followed him? More to the point, what does it look like for me to give God what is God’s?
Thank you, Elaine, for your thoughtful response. You remind me of Richard Rohr on non-dual living. So good to have you with us!
Thank you! Just thank you.
Love the picture you chose and the song, everything, every week! Blessings back to you one hundredfold.
