You asked about connecting with you – I’m a pastor in SC and I love using your podcasts to help me sink into the scripture for my sermon prep! It’s hard for me to be focused enough to do Lectio Divina on my own, but I love having your guided words – and the thoughts/meditations before scripture are great too! Thanks so much for all of the time and effort you put into this!

Hi Kayla!
Good to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking a moment to share this. I share in the same kind of experience. I find that when someone else is reading the scripture out loud, I have a far better chance to really stay with the meditating and praying. When I have tried to do lectio on my own, reading either silently or out loud to myself, I ditz-out more often for some reason. And, alas, this is the reason I started my podcast. I thought surely a few others out there had a similar experience with lectio.
Where in SC do you live? I spent almost a decade in NC (Asheville and Winston-Salem). I loved that part of the country. Though, CO is amazing as well!
Well, take care. Again, thank you for taking the time.
Deepest Peace,
Todd
