Micah 5.2-5a for Sunday, December 23, 2012
O come, Thou Day-spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here;
And drive away the shades of night,
And pierce the clouds and bring us light.
~ O Come O Come Emmanuel
I dedicate this time of prayer to all of those who’s hearts are so broken by the mass-shooting in Newtown, CT — especially those families and loved ones who lost a beloved in the shooting. “O come Thou Day-spring…pierce the clouds and bring us light…”
With you in Advent prayer,
Todd
The question no longer is: Can I do it? Am I able? Can I overcome my moodiness, my laziness, my sensuality, my grudges, and resentments? The only question is: Is Jesus Christ able? Can my Savior, the Lord of my life, revive my drooping spirit and transform me at Christmas as he transformed the world through his birth in Bethlehem?

Technical question. I just found your site and enjoyed the first one. How often and when do you put up the next Lectio Divina?

So happy you found us, Gagilbert. Welcome! I normally publish a new podcast weekly, using one of the week’s lectionary texts. Due to the holidays, I am skipping this week though. But, as you probably have discovered, there are archives available back to May 2012. What do you find helpful about the podcast? Any other thoughts to share? Christmas Peace, Todd
